The apps
Our apps send us nothing. They run entirely inside your own Odoo database, on your own server. There is no licence check, no telemetry, no usage reporting, and no call home. We do not know that you installed one, we do not know how you use it, and we cannot see any of your data.
Where an app talks to a third party, it is because that is the app's whole purpose - a WooCommerce connector talks to your WooCommerce, an e-invoicing app talks to the tax authority you configure. In every case it talks to a server you configure, with credentials you enter, and the app's own documentation page says exactly which endpoints it contacts. None of them route through us.
Because everything stays in your database, you remain the sole data controller for it under the GDPR. We are not a processor for your Odoo data, because we never receive any.
This website
bambooforge.dev and docs.bambooforge.dev are static files. No accounts, no cookies set by us, no analytics script, no tag manager, no advertising trackers, no third-party fonts or CDNs. The walkthrough videos are served from our own server, not from an embedded player, so watching one tells YouTube nothing because YouTube is not involved.
We do count how many people read each page, because otherwise we would be writing documentation blind. It is done entirely from the web server's own log, and this is exactly what that log contains:
the time, the page, the response code, and how many bytes we sent,
the browser's user-agent string,
the page you came from, if your browser sent one,
and a truncated network address: the last part of your IP address is discarded by the web server before the line is written, so what reaches the disk is a /24 network, never an address that identifies a connection.
That is the whole list. There is no identifier that follows you between pages, between visits, or between our sites, so we cannot build a profile of you and no amount of later analysis would let us. What we can say is "forty networks read this page last week", which is all we wanted.
Logs are kept for 30 days and then deleted. They are not shared, not sold, and not sent anywhere. The summary we read from them is aggregate counts, and it lives behind a password on our own server.
Videos are counted the same way, from the byte ranges your browser asked for while playing. That tells us how far into a walkthrough people generally get, against the same truncated network address and nothing else.
The demo servers
demo16 to demo19.bambooforge.dev are public sandboxes. They are wiped and rebuilt from a fixed template every night. Do not put real data into them: anything you type there is visible to every other visitor until the nightly rebuild, and is then destroyed. Use them to look at the apps, not to try your own records.
If you write to support@bambooforge.dev, we keep the correspondence for as long as we support the app you wrote about, so that the next person to ask the same question gets a better answer. We do not add you to any mailing list, because we do not have one.
Your rights
Write to support@bambooforge.dev to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. In practice this is your support emails and nothing else.
