Questions people ask before buying
Does it work on Odoo Online?
No, and neither does any other third-party app. Odoo Online (yourcompany.odoo.com) does not allow custom modules at all - that is an Odoo platform restriction. Odoo.sh and self-hosted both work, and that is where the great majority of our customers run.
Community or Enterprise?
Both, unless the app's own page says it needs Enterprise. Where an app extends an Enterprise-only feature, its page says so plainly at the top, before the price.
Do I get the source code?
Yes. Odoo modules are Python and XML; there is nothing compiled and nothing obfuscated. You can read every line, and modify it for your own use. What you may not do is redistribute it - see licence.
Is there a licence key or an expiry?
No. There is no activation, no key, no server of ours to reach, and no expiry. Install it and it runs. If we vanished, your installation would carry on working.
How many users does it cover?
All of them. We do not price per user.
Will it break when I upgrade Odoo?
An Odoo major upgrade - 17 to 18, say - replaces the module, it does not carry it over. You buy the app for the new series. That is how every module on the Odoo Apps Store works, ours included. Within a series, upgrades are free.
Does it work with multi-company?
The apps that hold company-specific data are multi-company aware, with record rules that filter by company rather than views that merely hide things. Each app's page says what it does about companies.
What languages is it in?
English, and each app ships a translation template so you or your integrator can translate it. Some carry more languages; the app's page lists them.
Can you build something custom for us?
Sometimes. Write to support@bambooforge.dev describing what you need and which of our apps it is closest to. If it is a change that would benefit everyone, it may become a free feature instead.
Can I try it before buying?
Yes - that is what demo16 to demo19.bambooforge.dev are for. Every app is installed there with worked example data, and every app page has a button that opens that app on the demo server. There is also a full walkthrough video on every page, with subtitles, including a section on what the app deliberately does not do.
Where is your VAT number / invoice?
Purchases go through the Odoo Apps Store, and Odoo S.A. issues the invoice for them. Ask them for a VAT invoice, or forward us the order reference and we will help chase it.
