# Quality Management (QMS) compared with the alternatives

## Choose which, and when

- **Choose OCA's management-system modules** if you run 16.0 to 19.0 and
  want free AGPL-3 modules for nonconformities, audits and reviews, with
  nonconformities for ISO 14001, 27001, 45001 and 20000 as well as 9001,
  and you can install the document pages from OCA/knowledge they rely on.
  They are marked Beta and have no 20.0 build today.
- **Choose OCA's quality_control_oca** if what you need is product
  inspection - tests made of qualitative and quantitative questions, with a
  failed inspection sent for approval - at no licence cost, on 16.0 to
  19.0.
- **Choose Odoo's Quality app** if you are on Enterprise and quality lives
  in your warehouse and production: quality checks, control points,
  inspection frequency, and quality alerts with a root cause and corrective
  and preventive actions.
- **Choose Odoo DevHouse ISO Compliance** if you run 17.0 to 20.0, can
  install Project, and want one app that also holds document control with
  electronic signatures, a risk register, supplier evaluations, a
  complaints portal and calibration, with ISO 14001 and 45001 libraries.
- **Choose ours** if you are on any of Odoo 16.0 to 20.0, Community or
  Enterprise, and want ISO 9001 clauses 10.2, 9.2 and 9.3 kept in the order
  the standard asks, with the checks enforced (every action judged before a
  nonconformity closes, no auditor on their own audit, no review closed
  without an output) on `base` and `mail` alone. Document control, a
  risk register (clause 6.1) and certification itself are not part of it.
